Use of waste food n used compost

hi,
i would like to know if i can gather some old used compost with food waste (no oil) and create a new/usable compost? Will that be organic enuff for plants or will dat just be a waste of time?

Yes, you can mix the old compost with plant based food waste but do not meat and other non-plant waste into it because it will attract mice and rats to the garden.
Collect vegetable peelings, spent cut flowers, non-woody garden waste, grass cuttings etc, mix it all up regualrly and it should make a good compost heap if you turn it regularly and let the rain get to it.
