Nice but shady

Postby Nigel4x4 » 12 Mar 2008 09:35

I've recently moved into a new house with a nice big garden and a friend gave me some onion and garlic sets as a house warming present.
The problem is the house and garden are in the middle of a nature reserve (yes it is nice) so we have lots of shade, even now in the middle of winter with no foliage on the surrounding trees. The garden is sloping east facing, so sunsets come early.
What chances do my sets have?

Hello Nigel,

Yes, Onions and Garlic do prefer to grow in full sun but that would not stop me having a go anyway!
