Moroccan Pineapple Tree

My Moroccan Pineapple tree has been in for about 6 years. As yet it has no leaves so far this spring and looks dead. Is this likely? As well as the very hard winter, it was very very dry last summer and although regularly watered, it lost its leaves very early. Any advice gratefully received.

Firstly, can I just check that we are talking about the same plant, it's always difficult with common names!

If it is, I supect that the severity of last winter has indeed killed your Cytisus batandieri I'm afraid.

Thanks for your response - unfortunately it is still very dead - such a pity as it was a lovely little tree and had a super scent.
