This annual is grown for its bright orange daisy-like flowers that are produced from late summer and into autumn. Tithonia rotundifolia grows quickly and soon becomes very tall. The leaves are hairy and toothed. Dead-head the flowers regularly, they are also good for use as cut flowers.
