Making a new vegetable patch

Postby Skating Queen » 22 Oct 2009 19:21

Hi,
I am thinking of making a vegetable patch in a new garden.

What kind of soil and where can you buy large quantities of soil that doesn't have diseases?

Many thanks

Hello Joanne,

In most cases, you can simply work with the existing soil which shoud have some good qualities. Annual addition of plenty of organic matter e.g. homemade garden compost, horse munure etc should result in a good growing medium for growing fruit and vegetables.
